The Red Checkers returned to the skies for the first time following a fatal training crash and flew over the Art Deco celebrations on the Marine Parade, Napier.

So much for the World Cup final in sunny Gisborne. Torrential rain and floods caused the last round of the season to be called off giving series leader Katie McVean the win. But we got some flooding photos for NZPA….
